Curtis Dawe Welcomes Paul Dicks, KC and Megan Reynolds to the Firm

St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador – January 31, 2025 – Curtis Dawe is excited to announce the addition of two distinguished legal professionals to the firm, effective February 3, 2024: Paul Dicks, KC and Megan Reynolds.

Paul Dicks joins Curtis Dawe as Counsel, bringing with him a wealth of legal experience and a varied litigation and solicitor practice. His storied career includes 12 years of public service as a Member of the House of Assembly, during which time at points he held key positions including Minister of Finance and Minister of Justice and Attorney General for Newfoundland and Labrador, Speaker, President of Treasury Board, and Minster of Mines and Energy. His extensive leadership roles include serving as a director for the Bank of Canada, Newfoundland Hydro, Churchill Falls (Labrador) Corporation Limited, and the Atlantic Lottery Corporation. In practice, Paul is highly experienced in aboriginal and business law, corporate and commercial litigation, administrative law, construction and environmental law, employment law, and estate law, having appeared before every level of court in Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as the Supreme Court of Canada.

Megan Reynolds joins the firm as Partner, bringing with her over a decade of experience in a wide-ranging legal practice. Specializing in commercial litigation, energy and natural resources law, construction law, administrative law, and insurance law, Megan’s expertise is recognized across the industry. She currently serves as Chairperson of the Mineral Rights Adjudication Board and previously served as President of the Liberal Party of Newfoundland and Labrador. In 2022, Megan was named a “Leading Lawyer to Watch” in Corporate-Commercial Litigation by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory.

With the addition of Paul and Megan, Curtis Dawe now boasts a team of 16 lawyers, further strengthening its depth of experience and expertise.
