Travis is a partner with Curtis Dawe.  He joined the firm as an associate upon his call to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor in 2018.

Travis is a partner with Curtis Dawe.  He joined the firm as an associate upon his call to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor in 2018.  He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Memorial University (2014) and a Juris Doctor from the University of New Brunswick (2017).

Travis maintains a varied practice. He works with corporations, municipalities and individuals to solve their legal needs. From working as a part of a team on large commercial financings to incorporating small businesses, Travis has been involved in a variety of matters in his corporate and commercial practice. Travis also regularly advises and advocates for municipalities of varying sizes. In his litigation and construction practice, Travis has been involved in all stages of the litigation process and has appeared before every level of court in Newfoundland and Labrador. He has a special interest in using technology in an attempt to streamline and simplify the litigation process.

 

Outside the Firm

Travis is the current Vice President of the Canadian Bar Association – NL Branch. He further volunteers as a member of the Board of Directors for the Rising Tide Association and Credit Counselling Services of NL. Throughout his university career, Travis was an active member of the student union in both MUN and UNB sitting as his faculty representative. In his final year of law school, he was recognized as the “Councillor of the Year” for his work. In his spare time, Travis enjoys experiencing the lively Newfoundland drama and musical scene as a member of the audience.
